Was born on August 8, 1931 in Akhaltsikhe, Georgia.

*Since 1962 has been an employee of Helmholtz Moscow Research Institute.
*Since 1973 has been the head of the laboratory of eye infection and immune diagnosis of Helmholtz Moscow Research Institute.
==Achievements==
*In 1971 became a candidate in docoral sciences.
*In 1972 became a member of the Russian Presidium of the Ophthalmological Scientific Society.
*In 1985- USSR inventor.
*In 1986 received a silver medal of the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy of the USSR.
*In 1987 became a professor.
*In 1988 received a bronze medal of the [[Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy]] of the [[USSR]].
*In 2001 became an honored doctor of the Russian Federation.
*In 2002 became a member of the Academy of Natural Sciences of the RF.
*Is an honorable member of a number of foreign academies.

*The works refer to the eye infection diagnosis. Was the first to study a number of eye-defying adenoviral diseases , describe the clinical and epidemiological features of these diseases and offer diagnostic, preventive and treatment ways.
