*1947-1948 head of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Enlightenment of ASSR.
*1948-1950 dean of the Faculty of Philology.
*1953-1956 YSU vice-rector on scientific works.
*1956-1985 was the Head of the Department of general Linguistics at the University.
*1968-1991 head of Armenian Studies Center.
*1986-1991 the chief editor of "Banber of the Yerevan University" journal.
