*In 1969-1970 established and directed the department of general linguistics at Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences.
*In 1976-1982 head of a department at [[Romance-Germanic Faculty ]] of Yerevan State University.
*In 1988-1996 he was the head of departments of Typology of Languages,Theory and Methodology of Russian.
