Was born on October 10, 1932 in Yerevan, Armenia.
Education
- In 1953 graduated from Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences.
Work activity
- In 1957 was a lecturer at Yerevan State University.
- In 1969-1970 established and directed the department of general linguistics at Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences.
- In 1976-1982 head of a department at Romance-Germanic Faculty of Yerevan State University.
- In 1988-1996 he was the head of departments of Typology of Languages,Theory and Methodology of Russian.
Achievements
- In 1984 he was a doctr of Philisophical Sciences.
- In 1986 he was a professor of Philosophical Sciences.
