Biography
Was born on September 26, 1872 in Van, Western Armenia.
Education
- In 1890 entered the College of Arts in Constantinople.
- 1894-1912 was in the studios of Kovalevsky, Franz Roubaud, Repin.
- 1899-1912 studied in the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg.
Work activity
- 1912-1915 taught at the Central College in Van.
- 1915-1918 worked at Gayanyan School in Tiflis.
- 1921-1929 taught at the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts.
Works
- "Peaches" (1925).
- "Ararat" (1925).
- "The construction of People's House" 1928 (ANP Armenian national platform).
- "Cutters of Arzni basalt" (1933).
- "Geghard scene» (1927).
- "Getar River near Avan Village" (1928).
