Was born on July 28, 1909 in Alexandropol, Armenia.

In 1935-1959 was the head of Leninakan's base department of Scientific Research Institute of viticulture, winemaking and pomiculture in the Armenian SSR.
In 1959-1979 was the head of the department of Selective Breeding and Sort-Expertising.

In 1953 became a candidate of Biological Sciences.
In 1954 was given a small medal for the exhibition of the USSR national economy's achievements.
In 1959 was given the Order of Glory.
In 1962 was given a big silver medal for the exhibition of the USSR national economy's achievements.
In 1968 was given a bronze medal for the exhibition of the USSR national economy's achievements.
In 1979 was given the State Prize of the Armenian SSR.

The works refer to the problems of the developement of pomiculture, the sort-examining of orchard sorts, their biological specialties, frost-resistance, sort-expertising and selective breeding.
Experimented 19 sorts of apple tree, pear tree, plum tree, currant and strawberry, 4 sorts of strawberry were districted-Lori, Rubine, Leninakan's, Arevik.
