*He expressed the interests of Eastern Armenian associations in articles and in separate works, defended Armenian national-liberation movements of 1860, in particular the rebellion of Zeytun in 1862.He criticized the "Polozheniye" which limits the rights of the [[Armenian Church]].He was an upholder for creating a common language through the rapprochement of Eastern and Western Armenians.
