Biography

Was born on October 12, 1854 in Kolkata, India.

Education

  • She received her education in a convent school in Kolkata where she learnt Sanskrit and English.

Work activity

  • 1919-1920 the diplomatic representative of The Rebublic of Armenia and the consul general to the Far East, the ambassador of Armenia in Japan.
  • Cooperated with "The Japan Gazette" English-language newspaper in Yokohama.
  • She wrote articles for "The times", "Le Figaro" and other newspapers and magazines about the economy of Eastern countries.

Achievements

  • In 1920 she was given the title of Honorary Consul.

Other

  • In 1890 she married Michael Abgaryan who was from New Julfa by birth, and then they moved to Japan and settled there. In the city of Kobe Michael
