Was born on June 22, 1944 in [[Gyumri]], [[Republic of Armenia]].

*Graduated from high school No. 5 named after Vl. Mayakovsky, [[Gyumri]].*In 1970 graduated from [[YSU]].
*In 1976 finished his postgraduate courses.

*Worked as a researcher at the Department of History of Armenia, Head of the Cabinet, senior lecturer, then docent.
*Since 1977, [[YSU ]] lecturer.*Since 1999, lecturer in [[Gevorgyan Seminary]], [[Etchmiadzin]].*1992-1993 lectured in armenological courses, [[Beirut]].*1995-1993 lectured in [[Vazgenyan religious school]], [[Sevan]].*Since 2013, head of the History Department of [[YSU]].

*His The works are mainly related to historiography, source reseaches, ancient and medieval Armenia, the contemporary history issues of [[Armenian Question ]] and Diaspora.*He professed not only The History of Armenia, but also the Armenian History Sources and other vocational courses devoted to the problems of the [[Armenian Diaspora ]] and the history of [[Armenian liberation movements]](XVI-XVIII).He simultaneously professed "Issues of the History of Armenia" and "Armenian communities story" in Theology and Oriental Faculties.His lectures are characterized by availability and scientific high provision of material.
*Frecuently appeared on TV and in the press.Regularly lectured in various organizations as well.
*He juggled teaching activity and scientific work.As a result of his energetic efforts and diligence today we have more than 300 studies, including several reviews, monographs and numerous articles.
*Works dedicated to Armenian Question and the bibliography of [[Armenian Genocide]], historical heritage of bibligraphies and historians [[Nicholas Adontz]], A. [[HovhannisyanAshot]], [[Berberian Avetik Berberian ]] and others have made important contribution for armenology.With his active participation the encyclopedia "Catholicos of All Armenians" was presented to the redaer for the first time in Armenian reality (author and editor in chief).
