*1921-1925 Head of the YSU Department of Armenian history.

*1925-1931 Professor of the Department.

*In 1920 December 17 "Order about restructuring Yerevan University" by Ashot Hovhannisyan was published, according to which, the university was restructured and renamed Yerevan National University, former departments were closed and new ones were opened - natural sciences and social sciences faculties. The professorial staff fully released, under Koghbetlyantsi's presidency, who later became the disposer of university's fate, the restructuring committee of the university was created.Accordingly, the old plan and the regulations of the university was rejected, and a new one was created, which strictly matched the programs created for universities of Russia.

*In 1921 January 2 in the first university council session by a closed(secretly) voting The Social Sciences Faculty dean was chosen Sirekan Tigranyan and The Natural Aciences Aaculty dean was chosen Davit Zavryan.In the same session Hakob Manandyan was chosen a rector.
