Was born on June 10, 1916 in [[Madan]], [[Alaverdi]], [[Armenia]].
==Achievements==
*In 1944, 1946, 1949, [[USSR]] competitions champion.
*In 1947, [[European Weightlifting Championships]] winner.
*In 1948, USSR Honored Master of Sports.
==Other==
*Started weightlifting in Yerevan under the leadership of [[Simonyan Gregory]].
*In European Championships in Helsinki, 1947 he surpassed 10 kg in the amount of triathlon of his team-mate Alexander Donsk and won a gold medal, due to which he became the first European champion, who represents USSR.
*After the completion of his career in 1953, he engaged in coaching activities in the [[Spartak]] sports society.
*He is buried in [[Sovetashen Cemetery]], Yerevan.
