Biography
Was born on March 10(23), 1915 in Constantinopol, Ottoman Turkey.
Education
- In 1933-1936 studied at Sorbonne University.
- In 1939 graduated from Yerevan Medical Institute.
Work Activity
- In 1956-1972 was the director of the Scientific Research Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.
- In 1972-1980 was the head of the Clinical Laboratory of the SRI of General Hygiene and Occupational Diseases.
Achievements
- In 1966 became a doctor of medical sciences.
- In 1968 became a professor of medical sciences.
Other
- During the years of working in the institute published more than 100 scientific works devoted to the most important issues in the field of Hematology and Transfusion. These studies are considered to be up-to-date, among which some guidelines were compiled along with co-authors relating to blood transfusion instructions and contraindications while shock, blood loss, intestinal obstruction, and in pustular-septic processes. It is especially important to note K. Antonian's "The preservation of homogeneous bone marrow, transfusion and prevention of the secondary disease caused by transfusion" work which his doctoral dissertation was devoted to(1966).
