Biography
Was born in 1838 in Constantinopol, Turkey.
Education
- Received primary education at the Targmanchats, Narekyan and Mkhitaryan (in Bera) schools.
- Studied at the Murat-Rafaelyan College in Venice.
Work Activity
- Since 1858 had worked at the Constantinopol telegraph.
Other
- The main theme of his works is the protest against social injustice.
- In his works of love and nature, contrasts the beauties of the Nature with the human misery.
- In 1870-1880s was one of the leaders in the struggle for realism.
- His translations of Schiller, Lamten, Lafonte, Bernanke and other French writers were published in separate books.
