Biography
Was born on October 20, 1933 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Education
- In 1957 he graduated from Yerevan Conservatory.
Work activity
- In 1960-1994 he lectured at Yerevan Conservatory.
- In 1987-1994 he was the head of the chair.
- At the same time he lectured at musical collages and schools in Yerevan and Vanadzor.
Achievements
- In 1957 he was a laureate of Hamamiutenakan competition (Moscow).
- In 1960 he was a laureate of Transcaucasian competition (Baku).
- In 1974 he was a RA honourable artist.
- In 1987 he was a professor of Yerevan Conservatory.
- He was a laureate of the 1st Armenian Youth Festival (golden medal).
Other
- He is Grigor Aharonyan's son.
- In 1946 he imigrated to Armenia.
- He collaborated with conductors such as D. Khanjyan, G. Oberfrank (Hungaria), soloists such as Zh. Ter-Merkeryan, S. Navasardyan, V. Mokatsyan, N. Novik, R. Kharajanyan and others.
- He accompanied European, Armenian, Classical and Modern musicians.
