Biography
Was born on November 12, 1934 in Nerkin Horatagh (the Martakert region), the Republic of Artsakh.
Education
- In 1957 graduated from the Moscow State Textile University.
Work Activity
- In 1965-1969 was the director of the factory of scarves and fine-grained woolen texture.
- In 1969-1974 was the director of the bureau of light industry.
- In 1974 became a deputy minister.
- In 1979-2000 was the deputy head of the Armenian department of the Committee of State Standards.
- In 2000-2004 was the Rector of the "Artsakh" University, then became the Vice-Rector.
Achievements
- In 1997 became an SQA academician.
- In 1997 became a professor.
- In 1998 became a member of the Russian Academy of Quality Problems.
- In 1999 became a member of the Russian Academy of Metrology.
- In 2000 became a doctor in Technical Sciences.
- In 2002 was awarded the NKR Prize after Yeghishe.
Other
- The works relate to the problems in Metrology, Quasimmetrology and Standardization.
- Is the author of a numbner of educational methods and manuals.
