Was born in Van,the capital of Vaspurakan.

*In 958-972 was the Artsruni king of Vaspurakan.

*Continuing his father's policy he made the Vaspurakan Kingdom for economic and cultural rise.In the whole Vaspurakan he started construction.
*With the expectation to gain the Byzantine court's support and friendship he gave shelter and sponsered Vahan A Syuneci who was the supporter of Chalcedonic creed,in 968 deprived from Catholicosate.
*He is Gagik Artsruni's junior son.
*He followed his elder brother Ashot-Derevik.
