Biography
Was born on May 1, 1788 in Hertza, Bukovina. Died on November 12, 1869 in Yassi, Romania.
Education
- In 1769-1804 studied in Lvov, then in Vienna and in Italy.
Work activity
- He established the first national school and architectural collage in Moldova.
- In 1816 he organized first romanian thatrical performances.
- In 1835 he established the Academy of philosophy, Law and Theology.
- In 1835 he established Albina printing house.
- In 1836 he established a dramatic musical school in Yassi.
- He wrote plays and he was fond of painting.
