Biography

Was born on June 19, 1948 in Yerevan, Armenia.

Education

In 1968 graduated from the department of painting and graphic arts, Yerevan State College of Fine Arts After Panos Terlemezyan.
In 1974 graduated from Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts.

1975-1991 taught at Yerevan State College of Fine Arts After Panos Terlemezyan.
From 1979, member of Artists' Union of Armenia.
- From 1998, secretary.
- In 2003-2008, chairman of the painting section.
From 1991, taught at Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts.
In 2007, academic rank of professor.
From 2008, dean of the faculty of fine arts, Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts.

In 2001, Artists' Union of Armenia award for the best work of the exhibition.
In 2005, Artists' Union of Armenia award for the best work of the exhibition devoted to 115th anniversary of Saryan Martiros.
In 2006, certificate from Ministry of Education and Science of The Republic of Armenia.
2006-2007, 3rd prize of the exhibition devoted to Shushi Liberation Day.
In 2008, certificate from Ministry of Education and Science of The Republic of Armenia for the significant contribution to the field of art.
In 2009, gratitude from the minister of culture.
In 2009, gratitude from the town hall of Yerevan.
In 2009, honored citizen of Arabkir.
In 2010, 2013, laureate of Union of Russian Armenians and the RA Ministry of Diaspora arts award for the best work.
In 2010, honored member of Peyo Yavorov Basic School No.131.
In 2011, commemorative medal from prime minister of the Republic of Armenia on the day of 65th anniversary of Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts.
In 2016, Honored Painter of Armenia.

Son of Azizyan Suren.
Works are kept in the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, the National Gallery of Armenia, in the collections of "Garth Davidson" gallery(located in 13 E Main St, Moorestown, New Jersey, United States), "Renaissance" museum(Located in the heart of Florence), and in private collection of various countries as well.
Since 1970 has participated in republican, all-union various choral exibitions in Armenia, Russia, France, USA, Finland, Lebanon, Ethiopia, Mongolia, Korea, Greece, Senegal, Italy, Brazil, etc.
