Was born on February 16, 1936 in Vereya, Russia.
Education
- In 1959 finished Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy in Moscow.
- From 1959 to 1964 served in the ranks of the Soviet Army.
Work activity
- From 1975 to 1984 worked at the USSR State Committee of Science and Technology.
- From 1984 to 1986 was the Cybernetics Institute Director of USSR Academy of Sciences.
- From 1986 was the Software Systems Institute Director of Russian Academy of Sciences.
- In 1991 organized and headed the Russian Research Institute of Regional Problems of Russian Education Ministry.
- From 1993 to 1996 - Russian Perezlavl University Rector.
- From 1998 to 2003 - Russian Perezlavl University Rector.
Achievements
- In 1975 - Technical Sciences Doctor.
- In 1984 - Technical Sciences Professor.
- In 1993 - member of National Academy of Natural Sciences.
Medals
- In 1958 - Jubilee Medal "40 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR".
- In 1964 - Medal "For Perfect Service".
- In 1970 - Medal "For Valorous Labor" (in commemoration of the Vladimir Lenin's 100th anniversary).
- In 1971 - Order "Red Banner of Labor".
- In 1988 - Medal "Veteran of Labor".
- In 1996 - Russian Friendship Order.
- In 1996 - Honorary citizen of the Pereslavl-Zalesskiy city.
- Order of Moscow Holy Prince Daniel, III degree (for the activities in restorig the shrines of Yaroslavl).

- Worsk are related to fundamental and applied issues of information-communicational technologies, creating of an artificial intelligence, modeling of complex ecological-economic systems, computer engineering and tele-information systems.
