Biography
Was born on November 24, 1852 in Karashen village (RA Syunik Marz), Armenia.
Education
- He learnt the troubadour's art from famous troubadour Hatam from Karabakh.
Work activity
- 1875-1935 engaged in troubadour's art.

Achievements
- In 1939 became a Member of the USSR Union of Writers.
Other
- Wrote Armenian and Turkish, instructive and satirical songs.
- Was a skilled performer of old folk songs and stories. Played the saz and the violin.
- He has played in the South Caucasus, Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria.
