Was born on May 1, 1788 in Hertza, Bukovina. Died on November 12, 1869 in Yassi, Romania.

Education

  • 1769-1804 studied in Lvov, then in Vienna and in Italy.

Work activity

  • He established the first national school and architectural collage in Moldova.
  • In 1816 he organized first Romanian theatrical performances.
  • In 1835 he established the Academy of Philosophy, Law and Theology.
