Biography
Was born on November 16, 1939 in the Yerevan city of Soviet Armenia.
Education
- 1964-1969 studied at the Creative Department of Yerevan State Conservatory named after Komitas.
Work activity
- Since 1969 teaches theoretical subjects at the Conservatory.
- Is the head of the Department of Music Theory at the Conservatory.
- 1991-2013 was the president of the Armenian Composers' Union .
Achievements
- In 0000 became a Candidate of Historical Sciences.
- In 0000 became a Real Member of Academy.
- In 0000 received "William Saroyan" Medal.
