Biography
Was born on May 6,1957 in Stepanakert,NKR.
Education
- In 1982 finished the economic-technical college of Kineshma in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia.
Work activity
- In 1977-1979 served in the tank subdivision of Soviet Union Armed forces.
- In 1979-1988 was a musician of different pop Orchestras in Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast.
- In 1989 established Amaras Benevolent Union and was an Executive Director (worked undercover).
- In 1991–1992 was a Head of Mobilization Department of KGB(Komitet gosudarstvennoy bezopasnosti).
- In 1992–1993 was a deputy commander then a commander of battalion of Haterq's defensive lines in Martakert,and later became a deputy commander of artillery of Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army.
- In early 1993 was a Commander-coordinator of Artsiv mahapartner(Eagles Sentenced to Death) battalion that operated near the Vaguas front line.
- In the end of 1993 and in 1994 was a deputy comander of Martakert defensive lines from rear orders.
- In 1993–1999 was a board member and then a vice president of Volunteer union Yerkrapa( Երկրապահ կամավորական միություն).
- In 1994–2003 worked in the ministry of defence of the Republic of Armenia.In 2003 was discharged.
Achievements
- In 1994 was a Colonel of National Security Service of Armenia.
- He was awarded with the First Degree Order of the Combat Cross ("Martakan Khach").
Other
- In 1991 was arrested and expelled from Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast (during passport regime).
- In 1988–1994 Alexanyan took part in defensive and liberational battles of Martakert(Haterq,Vaguas,Kichan,Drmbon)Shusha(Berdadzor sub-district,Lisagor)Kalbajar(Omar ghat)regions and the villages of Xachen valley(was injured 3 times but after recovering returned to the battlefield)
