Biography
Was born on January 10,1817 in Brnakot,Armenia.
Education
- He studied in Tatev Parish School.
- He studied in Ejmiatsin Gevorgyan Seminary.
- 1892-1894 he studied in Tbilisi Russian Gymnasium.
- In 1899 he graduated rom the faculties of Oriental Languages and History of Peterburg University.
Work activity
- 1903-1904 he edited the periodical "Banber grakanutyan ev arvesti".
- 1916-1917 participated in Van, Mush and Erzurum archeological expeditions work.
- In 1930 he led the chair of Armenology of Brussel University.
- He was lecturer at the Faculty of Oriental Languages and History at St. Petersburg University.
Achievements
- In 1909 he became an Assistant Professor of Petersburg University.
- In 1916 he became a Professor of Philological Sciences.
