Was born on December 7, 1911 in Odessa, Ukraine.

Education

Work Activity

  • Since 1932 had given solo-concerts.
  • In 1932-1955 gave solo-concerts in the Spendiaryan quartet.
  • Since 1939 had been a lecturer in the Yerevan State Conservatory.

Achievements

  • In 1968 became a folk artist of the Armenian SSR.
  • In 1972 became a professor.

Other

  • Wrote "Concerto" (1969), "Spring" and "Festive" sonets for cello and other string instruments.
  • Developed and transferred a number of folk songs and dances.
