=Biography=
Was born on December 18, 1904 in Bursa, Turkey.

==Education==
*From 1912 received primary education in [[Mkhitaryan Congregation of Venice]].
*From 1919 to 1923 studied at [[Murad Rafaelyan College]] in Venice.
*From 1923 to 1926 got his education at Venice Academy of Fine Art and graduated with gold medal.

==Work activity==
*Till 1931 worked as a teacher in Italy (Venice, Milan).
*From 1931 to 1938 demonstrated his creations in Paris.

==Other==
*Son of the sculptor [[Galfayan Stepan]].
*He was a representative of realism and a skilled master of compositions.He painted in national theme describing the Armenian past, sometimes using the unique ornamented allegories of Italian Renaissance.
*Painted for Armenian and foreign churches, schools in France and USA, illustrated numerous books.
*Some of his works are kept in [[National Gallery of Armenia]].
