Was born on May 5, 1902 in Baluja. Republic of Artsakh.

*From 1908 to 1911 attended the Sonday School near the church of his birthplace.
*From 1911 to 1919 studied at the Russian Gymnasium in Ashkhabat.
*In 1919 studied in the Bridge and Tunnels Faculty of the North Caucasus Polytechnic Institute in Krasnodar.
*From 1920 to 1923 studied in the Medical Faculty of Central Asian University of Tacland.
*In 1927 graduated from the medical faculty of [[Yerevan State University]].

*From 1919 to 1920 worked as a journalist-translator at the Armenian Consulate of Armavir.
*From 1920 to 1923 worked as a sanitary controller in Tashkend district.
*From 1923 to 1924 worked as a secretary at the Public Affairs Department of People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs in Turkey.
*From 1927 to 1928 worked as the head of the "Vedi" Tropical Station in Ararat region.
*In 1928 worked as an intern in the [[Yerevan Psychiatric clinic]].
