Education

In 1966-1989 worked in the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic calculating center of the state plan laser technique.
Worked as a division head in "Energy" scientific and production association.
Worked in the Union Scientific Research Institute of Nuclear Power Plants.
Was the head of computer programming and computer engineering departments in the Yerevan branch of nuclear power plants.
From February 1990 he planned and organized the defense of several regions of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh.
In June 1991 he co-founded and commanded the liberation army, alongside Hovsepyan Hovsep.
From the end of 1990 he participated in the self-defense and liberation wars of the Getashen, Shahumyan and Martakert regions.

Hero of the Republic of Artsakh.
The Order of the Combat Cross of the First Degree of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh.

Son of Azgaldyan Ruben, who was originally from Kamo, ASSR.
Was killed on June 21, 1992 in the Tonashen village of Martakert, Republic of Artsakh.
From 2015 YSU Military Club named after Azgaldyan Leonid has been operating.
