Biography
Was born on July 14, 1934 in the city of Berd, Tavush province, Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic.
Education
- In 1952 finished the secondary school named after M. Nalbandyan.
- In 1958 graduated from Armenian State Pedagogical University, historio-philological faculty.
Work activity
- 1959-1980 worked at the Armenian State committee of TV and Radio, at first as an editor, then as a senior editor, afterwards as the head of the department of literature and art.

Achievements
- In 1980 became a member of USSR Union of Writers.
- In 2002 was awarded by the "Vahagn" all-Armenian prize (for the collection of plays "At night of 27" («Լույս քսանյոթի գիշերը»).
Other
- His first play "For a diploma" was staged at Armenian State Pedagogical University in 1956.
- His plays were also staged in Tbilisi, Tehran, Aleppo, Beirut, New York and in other cities, as well as in almost all Armenian theatres.
- "Taxi, taxi" is one of his most famous plays with Karp Khachvankyan as Knyaz and Svetlana Grigoryan as Roz. 500th performance of "Taxi, taxi" took place at Yerevan State Theatre of musical comedy after H. Paronyan in 1993, and in 1997 the 600th one.
