Biography
Was born on December 21, 1899 in the village of Shulaver (Now Shahumyan small town, in Marneuli region of Georgia).
Education
- In 1931 graduated from Moscow Higher Technical College.
Work activity
- 1937-39 was the director of the Ural heavy machine building plant (Uralmash).
- 1939-41 -deputy of People's Commissariat of the heavy machine building.
- 1941-46 -People's Commissar of medium machine building.
- 1946-47 -USSR Minister of automobile industry
- 1947-50 -USSR Minister of automobile and tractor industry.
- 1950-83 -USSR Minister of agricultural machine building.
- 1953-54 -USSR Vice-Minister of machine building.
- 1954-55- USSR Minister of automobile, tractor and agricultural machine building.
- 1946-1950, 1954-1958 member of parliament (MP) of the USSR Supreme Soviet.
