Biography

Was born in 1905 in Van, Western Armenia.

Education

• In 1924 graduated from the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts.
• In 1926 entered the Moscow Drama Studio.

Work Activity

• In 1927 organized the Armenian Drama Studio in Tiflis.
• In 1939 became a director of the Gabriel Sundukyan State Academic Theatre.
• In 1947-1950 was a director of the Hakob Paronyan State Musical Comedy Theatre.

• In 1971 was awarded the State Prize of the Armenian SSR.
• In 1975 became a Hero of Social Work.

• Is the husband of Asryan Arus and the father of Ajemyan Alexander.
