Was born on October 5(12), 1904 in Ghezlar, Dagestan.

Education

  • In 1930 graduated from Don State Agrarian University.

  • From 1961, winemaking department head in the All-Union Institute of Food Industry.

  • In 1937, doctor of agricultural sciences.
  • In 1938, professor.
  • In 1961, Lenin award.
  • In 1964, USSR honored science and technology figure.

Other

  • Aghabalyants proposed a scientific classification of wines, studied the mechanisms of degeneration, fatigue, wine and brandy alcohol distillation.
  • Developed and introduced new methods for the automated process flows, champagne wines production, the quality of the wine and the chemical composition.
  • He is buried in Vagankov Cemetery in Moscow.
