Biography
Was born on February 10, 1935 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Education
- In 1958 graduated from the Faculty of Mining and Geology, Georgian Polytechnic Institute.
Work activity
- From 1972 to 1983 was the head of Yerevan Experimental Expedition, USSR Ministry of Geology.
- From 1983 to 1995 was the head of Mining Department of National Polytechnic University of Armenia.
- From 1995 to 2002 was the chairman of Commission on Mineral Resources.
- From 1996 was the chairman of the Armenian Center for International Mineral Resources.
Achievements
- In 1971, candidate of technical sciences.
- In 1981, doctor of technical sciences.
- In 1985, professor.
- In 1986, scientific council member of physical and technical problems of birth places, USSR Academy of Sciences.
- In 1988, mining division member of the Lenin and State Awards Committee.
- In 1995, associate member of the scientific council of Mountain Sciences Problems, Russian Academy of Sciences.
- In 1997, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
- In 1999, member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
