Biography
Was born on 1881 February 3 in the village of Gnishik in Vayots Dzor region of Armenia.
Education
- In 1899 finished Gevorgian Seminary of Etchmiadzin.
- In 1906 finished the male gymnasium in Yerevan.
- In 1907-1919 studied in the universities of Kiev,Leipzig,St. Petersburg.
Work activity
- In 1912-1920 teached in Tiflis.
- In 1921-1946 teached in Iran.
- In 1935 established chair of Pahlavi and Old Persian in the University of Tehran.
Achievements
- In 1935 doctor, professor of philological sciences.
Other
- Dealt with the matters of periodization of the Persian history.
- In the "Dictionary of Pahlavi-Persian-Armenian-Russian-English" in front of the equivalents of Pahlavi Armenian loan words are given.
- Did translations form Pahlavi,Persian.
