Was born on August 24 1943 in the village of Sulda in Akhalkalaki region,Georgia.

Education

In 1960 finished the secondary school in the village of Sulda.
In 1967 graduated from the Yerevan State Medical Institute.
In 1971-73 studied in the clinical residency of all-Union research institute of obstetrics and gynecology.

In 1967-1973 worked as a doctor,accoucheur-gynecologist,head of the polyclinic in the borough of Vedi.
In 1973-1975 accoucheur-gynecologist in the all-Union research institute of obstetrics and gynecology.
In 1975-1988 head of the surgical gynecology compartment in the republican clinical hospital.
In 1990-1992 head of the N2 chamber of obstetrics and gynecology in the Yerevan State Medical Collage.
Since 1993 founding director of scientific centre of perinatology, obstetrics and gynecology.
In 1995-1998 chief accoucheur-gynecologist of the Republic of Armenia.
In 1996 executive director of the womens' reproductive health national program of the Republic of Armenia.
In 1998 president of the companionship of accoucheur-gynecologists and neonatologists.
Since 2002 adviser of the minister of health care as birth-help assistant.

In 1992 professor of medical sciences.
In 1997 member medical and social academy in Georgia.
In 2000 correspondent member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
In 2000 Medal of "Mkhitar Heratsi".
In 2002 award of “European Union in the 21st Century” project, order “ the Maltese cross. Leader of the 21-st century”
In 2002 government diploma of the Republic of Armenia.
In 2004 prize of the president of the Republic of Armenia.
In 2004 government diploma for significant results acquired in the field of securing the service plan and for investing reasonable methods of quality control.
In 2004 title of international leader for investment in reproductive health field from the UN.
In 2006 commemorative medals of vice-president, Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia.
In 2007 commemorative medal of the vice-president of the Republic of Armenia(on the 15th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian armed forces and for active participation in showing medical help during Artsakh freedom fight).
In 2009 Honored Doctor of the Republic of Armenia.
In 2010 first degree medal of the Yerevan State Medical University.
In 2011 RA Ministry of Defence "Admiral H.S. Isakov" medal and “RA Armed Forces: 20 Years” jubilee medal.
Member of informative international academy.
Member of international academic association.
Member of scientific council of the Yerevan State Medical University.

Founder of perinatology in Armenia.
Founded testosterone fertilization and gynecological endoscopic surgery in Armenia.
His works refer to the reproductive health of women in the RA,medication of the mother and foetus,prevention of gynecological diseases,problems of diagnosis and treatment,healing of the genofond,increase of birthrate and natural growth.
Has got around 360 scientific works,the 90 of which have been published in European scientific journals. 5 textbooks,9 manuals,3 monographs,8 inventions and discoveries. Managed 9 doctor's and 19 attendance dissertations.A number of practical and scientific programs have been created with his efforts incorporation of foreign partners.
