Biography
Was born on September 4, 1928 in the village of Amasia, Shirak Province, Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic.
Education
- In 1952 graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute.
- In 1964 graduated from Moscow State University.
Work activity
- 1952-1953 engineer.
- 1953-1977 postgraduate, laboratory director, professor, Associate Professor.
- 1973-1977 the dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and the head of the department in Moscow Aviation Institute.
- 1977-1979 the director of the Institute of Mechanics of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
- 1979-1986 the director of Computing Center of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and Yerevan State University.
- 1986-1994 worked at Moscow Aviation Institute.
Achievements
- In 1966 Doctor of Technical Sciences (DScTech).
- In 1968 Professor.
- In 1987 corresponding member of Russian Academy of Sciences.
- In 1991 academician in Russian Academy of Sciences.
- Since 1992 fellow of the American Mathematical Society.
Other
- His works refer to matrix theory, asymptotic integration of differential and integral-differential equations and questions about their usage in different branches of mechanics (Sustainability movement and Dynamics).
- Supervised 30 Doctoral candidate's dissertations and 5 Doctoral dissertations.
