Biography

Was born on September 4, 1928 in the village of Amasia, Shirak Province, Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic.

Education

  • In 1952 graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute.
  • In 1964 graduated from Moscow State University.

Work activity

  • 1952-1953 engineer.
  • 1953-1977 postgraduate, laboratory director, professor, Associate Professor.
  • 1973-1977 the dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and the head of the department in Moscow Aviation Institute.
  • 1977-1979 the director of the Institute of Mechanics of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
  • 1979-1986 the director of Computing Center of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and Yerevan State University.
  • 1986-1994 worked at Moscow Aviation Institute.

Achievements

  • In 1966 Doctor of Technical Sciences (DScTech).
  • In 1968 Professor.
  • In 1987 corresponding member of Russian Academy of Sciences.
  • In 1991 academician in Russian Academy of Sciences.
  • Since 1992 fellow of the American Mathematical Society.
