Biography

Was born on January 1, 1933 in Stepanakert, NKAO.

Education

  • Finished secondary school named after Dzerzhinsky.
  • In 1956 graduated from the Physics-Architectural Institute of Moscow.

Work activity

  • Since 1954 worked at the Research Institute of NPPs' exploitation of Russia.
  • In 1964-1984 worked at the Ministry of Atomic Energetics of Russian Federation.
  • Since 1984 worked as a General Head of Research Institute of Atomic Power Stations Exploitation of Russian Federation.

Achievements

  • In 1977 became a Doctor of Technology Sciences.
  • In 1985 became a Professor of Technology Sciences.
  • In 1997 became a correspondent member of Academy of Sciences of Russia.
  • Received a medal of Republic of Armenia named after Movses Khorenatsi.
  • Received a 2nd rate medal for serving for motherland.

Other

  • His works refer to the problems of security and reliability of exploitation of atomic power stations.
  • In the supervision of Abaghyan, the mathematical models of atomic power stations' blocks were developed in the passing and emergency modes, were created the informative sectoral centers referring to data accumulation of obstruction of atomic power stations and interruption and emergency states.
