Biography
Was born on November 14(27), 1902 in Dilijan, Armenia.
Education
- In 1929 graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of Leningrad Polytechnic Institute.
Work Activity
- In 1928-1936 was an engineer of the construction of Chernorechchensk Chemical Combine and other workshops.
- In 1936-1944 was the head of Vorkutin and Yakutsk iceological stations.
- In 1945-1951 was the deputy chief and senior researcher of the iceological statiom of Igarka (a town in Turukhansky District of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia).
- In 1951-1958 was the head of various expeditions of the laboratory of hydroproject.
- In 1958-1980 was the senior researcher of the department of iceology of Moscow State University.
Achievements
- In 1945 became a candidate of geological-mining sciences.
- In 1952 became a doctor of geological-mining sciences.
Other
- Is the brother of Ananyan Anahit.
- The works relate to the eternal freezing of the northern and northeastern regions of Russia, as well as engineering and geological issues.
