Biography

Was born on May 7, 1930 in Yerevan, the Armenian SSR.

Education

After graduation has worked at the Central Republican Hospital, has been the head of the department of surgery.
Since 1963 has worked in the Chair of General Surgery of the Yerevan Medical Institute.
- In 1976-2000 was the head of the chair.
In 1976-1998 was the chief surgeon of Yerevan.
Was the president of the social charity association "Yerkir Nairi".

In 1968 became a member of the HQC of Specialized Council of Surgeons of the USSR.
In 1968 became a doctor in medical sciences.
In 1970 became a professor.
In 1988 became a member of the European association of cardiac surgeons.
Received the "Mkhitar Heratsi" Medal (granted by the president).
Was given a diploma of the Commonwealth Exhibition of the Moscow Manage.
Became a real member of the Academy of Medical Sciences.
A real member of the Russian Medical-Technical Academy.
A real member of the International Academy of Ecology and Safety.
A member of the Artists' Union of Armenia.
An honorable member of the Writers' Union of Armenia.
An honored figure of sciences of Armenia.

Is the father of Ananikyan Petros.
Remarkable Armenian surgeons Gevorgyan Ivan, Galstyan S. were his teachers.
Is one of the founders of vascular surgery of the Armenian SSR.
The works refer to cardio-vascular surgery. Developed methods of treating gastro-duodenal bleeding, as well as issues of periodic illness, diagnosis of gallbladder inflammation, clinic and surgery. Suggested combined treatment of gallbladder acute and chronic inflammation. Is the author of about 500 publications 13 of which are monographs and 3 textbooks.
Is a self-educated painter. His works are exhibited in Tashkent, at the exhibition hall of CIS countries. His collection of paintings is published in a pretty large circulation.
Is also engaged in creative activity.
Also speaks on television, publishes articles in newspapers and magazines, both Armenian and foreign.
On the occasion of his 60th birthday, was granted the title of Honored Figure of Sciences in Armenia and his biography was published in the Armenian Encyclopedia.
