Biography
Was born on May 25,1897 in Vayots dzor village Oghbin(now repopulated). Died on 1942 in Nuremberg, Germany.
Education
- In 1939 graduated from Military Academy of the Armed Forces of The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
Work activity
- 1931-1935 worked as the commander of XXIIth Armenian cavalry regiment.
- 1939-1940 worked as the commander of VIIth Army Cavalry regiment .
- Participated in Civil War in the Bandarikin and the North Caucasus .
Achievements
- In 1940 became a Major General.
Other
- Was shot at the prison in Nuremberg.
- Alaverdyan's bust was put in Vayk. The secondary school Mkhchyan village of Ararat region,Republic of Armenia , was named after him.
