Biography

Was born on November 24, 1963 in Mets Taghlar, Republic of Artsakh.

Education

Work activity

  • From 1986 to 1988, a scientific worker in "Haygyughmeqenayacum".
  • From 1988 to 1991, Hadrut branch head of Stepanakert Condensers Factory.
  • From 1991 to 1992, coordinator of the Hadrut region volunteer squad.
  • From 1992 to 1995, defense commander of Hadrut district.
  • From 1997 to 1999, commander of the 14th Brigade of the RA Armed Forces.
  • On July 1999, internal affairs minister of Republic of Artsakh.
  • On August 1999, Regional Integration Department head in the RA Government.
  • From 2000 to 2007, deputy minister of the RA Ministry of Defence.
  • From June 2007 to May 2009, chairman of Defence Ministry, National Security and Internal Affairs Committee.
  • From September 2012, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Artsakh (by the President's decree).

  • Participated in the self-defense and liberation battles of Hadrut, Askeran, Martakert, Karvachar, Zangelan.
  • At the end of June 1992, he headed the self-defense of Drakhtik-Jrakus-Togh and on August 15 the Khuruhot-Meliqashen-Hadrut sections.
