Biography

Was born on November 10, 1929 in Simferopol, Ukraine.

Education

Achievements

  • Since 1960 had been a member of the Artists' Union of the USSR.
  • In 1967 was awarded the prize of the ministry of culture of Armenia for the painting "Hirosima".
  • In 1971 was awarded the prize "The Best Painting of the Year" for the painting "Shot".
  • In 1990 was marked as a national artist of Armenia.
  • In 2001 was awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Armenia.

  • Is the brother of Adalyan Raffi and Adalyan Norayr.
  • In 1938 moved to Yerevan with his family.
  • Confident modifications of the real and imaginary, dramatism and dynamic tensions, modifications of inner properties of nature and people are typical to Adalyan's art.
  • Some of his works are presented in the National Gallery of Armenia, the Museum of Modern Art, other museums of Armenia, as well as in personal collections of Armenia and foreign countries.
